Heat makes Pat Robertson a global warming "convert"

I love bullshit news, but this one almost creeps me out.

Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson said on Thursday the wave of scorching temperatures across the United States has converted him into a believer in global warming.

"We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels," Robertson said on his "700 Club" broadcast. "It is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air."

Last year, Robertson said natural disasters affecting the globe, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita that wrecked the U.S. Gulf Coast, might be signs that the biblical apocalypse was nearing.

The issue has divided conservative Christians.

In October, Robertson, a former Republican presidential candidate, said the National Association of Evangelicals was teaming up with "far left environmentalists" for saying global warming was caused by humans and needed to be mitigated.

Leaving behind the obvious, Robertson is an air head, I was intrigued by the “far left environmentalists” jibe.

These turkeys honestly believe that there is some right/left aspect to science and logical thinking. I had thought it was just a fundamentalist Christian them and us thing, but they have managed to translate critical thinking into an ideology. Then when the heat is on they justify ‘conversion’ with pure gut feeling.

I just love how people step outside one day and say, "wow, It's hot. That global warming must be real!" Or as I read on a right-wing blog, "It is -20 outside and snowing. I keep saying, that global warming is a bitch!"

This is egocentricism taken to a new level.

Also, does that make Al Gore a "far left environmentalist?"

If this is the product of intellegent creation we are doomed. The whole lote of them are bereft of intellegence, relying on animal cunning and bullying.

They are christian, and will all the hubba about the apocalypse... One wonders of their motives.
Does this even make sense?
