EU will use NATO to take Israel

by Emanuel A. Winston, Middle East Analyst & Commentator

Some time ago I noticed a small article in U.S. Defense News about the Europeans ‘somehow’ planning to employ NATO as their military arm as a Rapid Response Force.

My alarm bells started ringing that this was a threshold move to gather sufficient military power to cross the Mediterranean Sea and occupy the Jewish nation of Israel, claiming it was a “necessary move toward regional peace” - for the good of all”.

Nothing in that small article suggested that there was a far greater ‘Game Plan’, intended to pacify the Arab and Muslim oil nations by driving the Jews either onto a smaller sliver of land, as originally proposed by the U.N. or to extinction….whatever was doable first.

That translates to seeing that which was not supposed to be seen.

I really don’t have any problem with Jews, in fact I have never been sure what the issue really was. But I must say I’ve never met an Israeli I was comfortable being with.

If America in 2006 is steeped in fear and paranoia, it is still nothing to the negativity that drives Israel to one atrocity after the next.

It has been almost holy writ that they are not criticised, in fact the common view is that they must be lauded for fighting so bravely to retain their country, even to the extent of illegally grabbing bits of other countries.

The article cited above trots out the usual raft of paranoia, labelling all and sundry traitors and worse.

What I have been finding interesting lately is the number of former champions of the Israeli way who are now having second thoughts.

For my part, if there really is a ‘Game Plan’ to bring a stop to the Israeli madness, I’m all for it. I don’t begrudge them a country, although it will always be under a cloud of doubt.

The real question has to be, how far can Israel be allowed to destabilise the Middle East and the rest of the world before they are stopped?

If the Palestinians are monsters, the Israelis have become positively beyond such descriptions. Israel seems to be showing the obvious conclusion of the fear campaign our own governments are pursuing for their own purposes.

A nation steeped, for so long, in this insecurity, the constant fear, must surely go collectively mad in some fashion.

One soldier’s abduction, bad enough in itself is met with an incredible over reaction, and a promise of a long drawn out response from Israeli leaders.

Yes, it is time for someone to step in and say enough. No more talks, but direct and unambiguous intervention.

Stopping the Israeli madness might even take the wind out of those other tensions building in Muslim communities across the world.

Have you noticed how they always pull out "they got one of our boys" when asked about the current attacks?

They never mention the shelling of the beach a bit earlier. Nosiree, not us. The shlling could have easily triggered the kidnapping, that is, if the kidnapping itself wasn't a false flag operation to begin with. Afterall, they have been planning the invasion for weeks prior.

It's unbelievable. I was looking at the U.S. news sites (I normally stick to international news sources as they are more factual), and the coverage is horribly skewed so as to completely ignore the massive number of civilian casualties.

I was then on MyLeftWing.com (liberal website) and found a massive post in support of israel.

What is wrong with these people? Does human life mean nothing, or does arab human life mean nothing?

BTW, I haven't heard anything from canada. 8 Canadian civilians were killed, yet I haven't seen any loud proclamations from the Canadian government... imagine if bombing by a foreign country killed 8 Americans, there would be war for sure.

mis, Canadas Stephen Harper made a statement on the plane to G8 along the lines of 'Go get em Israel.
THen while he was loudly endorsing the G* statement on Israel for his home audince he was told of these killings (now reduced to 7).
He was in too deep to back awaty, so we'll see how it plays out.
Canadians are not confrontational, but the feelings still filter through. I won't sell well.
