Kind Words for DeLay

Rep. Tom DeLay (R.-Tex.) announces his retirement after 22 years of public service, and how to Democrats react? With a thank you? Nah. These are Democrats we’re talking about.

Instead of recognizing this public servant’s devotion to government, Democrats last night decided to go on the attack. Like him or hate, DeLay at least deserves thanks for his commitment to public service. RightAngle (Human Events Online)

I wasn’t going to get into the DeLay Day celebrations; after all I’m just an observer not a participant. But then I happened on this wonderfully illogical commentary.

To be honest, I thought it was a send up, you know – sort of liberals pretending to be fascists taking the piss out of liberals to show the fascists up as wanks. But I was wrong, this bloke was serious, they can show themselves as wanks with no outside help.

So come on all you mean hearted liberal bastards, how about finding something nice to say about Tom, as a sort of going away present.

House Majority Leader John Boehner didn’t have any problem suck holing his predecessor: “He has served our nation with integrity and honor, and I'm honored to call him my colleague and friend.”

As they say, the only difference between a shithead and a brown nose is perspective!

But come on; let’s hear how he’s got a great golf swing, of how gracious he is to allow someone else to take a swing at congress. How about some accolades for DeLay the lobbyist? You know damn well he’ll deliver the goods.

What about the fact that Tom was willing to put his neck in the noose to make sure other candidates had the readies required to fight their own elections? Selfless or what?

On the other hand you could just make those raspberries louder and longer.
