The Brits turn out some brilliant TV drama. I'd almost be tempted to watch TV to catch a couple of new ones.
Bush 'assassinated'? According to a gripping new docudrama soon to be aired on British TV.
Set around October 2007, President Bush is assassinated as he leaves the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago.
The 90 minutes feature explores who could have planned the murder, with a Syrian-born man wrongly put in the frame.
While all this is going on Blair is on trial for war crimes. Like the Bush 'documentary', this comedy drama, will be shown on More4 digital channel. It is expected to include a scenario where Mr Blair is put on trial for war crimes over the Iraq conflict.
It features one scene in which Mr Blair is talking to a priest about converting to Catholicism and tells him: "I can get a reference from the Pope."
The Brits do some good throwaway lines too. George Galloway, a Brit MP, was part of a real life drama when Blair and the US admin both tried to stitch him up over his anti-Iraq invasion push. Writing in the Guardian, Galloway says now of the Lebanon mess: Practically the only person in the world who claims Israel won the war is George Bush - and we all know his definition of the words "mission accomplished".
On Israel itself: The myth of invincibility is a souffle that cannot rise twice.
The last bit I cut is something I had been waiting for, yet there has been a deafening silence on the reported Nasrallah apology:
Reports that the Hizbullah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, expressed regret this week at having underestimated Israel's reponse to the capture of two of its soldiers were misleading. In fact, Nasrallah thanked God that the attack came when the resistance movement was prepared, as he was convinced Israel would have otherwise invaded later in the year at a time of its choosing.

Nah, the Brits don't actually apply the law. Well not when it comes to pols, they are fair game.
Rather than have Bush assassinated in the TV show, I think a nice forced retirement w/ Bushie relegated to living on his Medicare drug prscription law and privatized Social Security program would be apt.
